Filterize - Buy your next Laptop in Style!

The Shophive team is happy to announce a very innovative new feature in our website, Filterize! We are rolling it out for the Laptop section to see consumer reaction and get feedback. Please email all your comments on support@shophive.com

Step 1:

The user is provided with multiple selection choices to select from. These are intelligent selections i.e., on selecting lets say Processor type, the whole data will be refreshed and all other selection boxes will only provide available possible selections.

Step 2:

The user is provided with the available models based on the choices made i.e., possible models available against lets say selection of Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, Ram: 1GB etc.

Finally, the user has the perfect laptop against his selection choices. We just can’t control the prices yet :)

I hope you enjoy this feature and we do strongly recommend its usage and feedback. Based on user feedback we will roll it out for all categories.

Ipod, which one to pick?

Life used to be easy back in the days. There used to just the regular Ipod, which was fitted with a hard disk. Then came the tiny Nano’s, just right for the pocket and the wallet. Apple didn’t stopped at miniaturizing it further to Shuffle. And now the new Ipod Touch, a phoneless version of the mighty Iphone is rolled out - making it ever more difficult to chose the right one.

Our observation on the new lineup.

Ipod Shuffle:
Perfect for sports and fitness activities. Holds upto 240 songs (approx. on 128Kbps AAC2 format).

Ipod Nano
Apple has redesigned the Nano line with a bigger, brighter screen capable of playing Video’s, display stunning picture collection. The Nano comes in 4GB and 8GB version, available in multiple colors.

Ipod Classic
The classic Hard Disk version has been upgraded with storage capacity of 80GB and 160GB. Perfect to carry all those movies, classic music collection and much about all your entertainment life.

Ipod Touch (soon to arrive)
The latest iteration in the Ipod line up, this marvelous device just like its big brother, the Iphone is a remarkable piece of engineering, design and usability. If only music and video’s are not enough for you, the Touch sports a wifi module allowing you to browse the internet in style with the Safari browser. The multi-touch interface allows you to navigate the device with your fingers.

…..But why Ipod?
Its a debate which has been around since the release of 1st generation Ipod’s and looks like will be around forever. Apple has not added those much wished for features like FM radio, playback for other formats etc., still Ipod continues to drive sales farther than any competitor. Its not just a music playback device, its a complete solution from Buying to Maintaining to Transferring to Enjoying your music, video and now the Internet. As with every generation, we have 2 Thumbs up rating for the line up. So which Ipod Are You ?
